Senior PCB Layout Engineer

We are looking for a Senior PCB Layout Engineer with more than 8 years of independent PCB design experience, preferably in the electronics industry. This role will be responsible for the entire PCB design process of the company's products, ensuring compliance with design specifications and the accuracy of output Gerber data. The candidate will collaborate closely with hardware and mechanical engineers, optimize component layout, and provide technical support for PCB manufacturing and SMT production to ensure smooth project progress.

Key Responsibilities

1. PCB Design & Data Responsibility

Undertake PCB design work for the company's products, take charge of the compliance of product Layout design specifications, and be fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the output Gerber data.

Strictly follow design standards and process requirements during the design process to ensure the rationality, reliability and manufacturability of PCB designs.

2. Cross-Departmental Collaboration & DFM Compliance

Communicate effectively with hardware engineers to clarify circuit design requirements and ensure that PCB layout meets electrical performance indicators.

Coordinate with mechanical engineers to realize reasonable layout of PCB components, considering structural space constraints and heat dissipation requirements.

Strictly abide by DFM (Design for Manufacturability) specifications to avoid manufacturing risks and ensure the smooth progress of subsequent PCBA processing.

3. Design Standardization & Experience Summarization

Maintain and continuously improve the PCB design Checklist to standardize the design process and reduce design errors.

Summarize PCB design experience of related products, sort out typical problems and solutions, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

4. Document Management & SMT Engineering Support

Systematically archive design documents such as Gerber files and processing instructions of the designed products to ensure document traceability and integrity.

Undertake the production of SMT engineering documents, including placement files, BOM (Bill of Materials) sorting and other related work to support SMT production.

5. Production Issue Resolution

Participate in the analysis of engineering problems encountered by PCB manufacturers and SMT factories during the production process.

Provide professional technical support and solutions to assist in resolving production-related issues and ensure production progress.

Qualifications

Major in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or other related electronic majors.

More than 8 years of independent PCB design experience, with a proven track record of completing complex PCB design projects.

Proficient in PCB design software such as Cadence Allegro, VALOR and CAM350; experience in simulation software (such as Ansys) is highly preferred.

Ability to independently complete the entire process of PCB Layout work, with strong patience and resilience to cope with complex design tasks and work challenges.

Familiar with PCB manufacturing processes and SMT production processes, with a deep understanding of DFM design specifications.

Strong communication and coordination skills, able to effectively collaborate with cross-departmental teams to promote project progress.
