About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading organisation driving the design and delivery of digital services at scale. They are seeking an experienced UX designer who can independently lead design initiatives from discovery through delivery, working closely with product managers and engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in complex problem spaces, enjoys conducting research, simplifying user journeys, improving service experiences, and influencing product decisions through evidence-based design.
You will have the opportunity to shape meaningful digital experiences while contributing to broader design excellence and service innovation initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
End-to-End UX Design
• Lead the design process from research and problem framing through to solution design and implementation.
• Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into intuitive user experiences.
• Design user flows, interaction patterns, navigation structures, and information architecture.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to support product development.
User Research & Insight Generation
• Plan and conduct user research independently, including user interviews, guerrilla research, usability testing, contextual inquiry or user observation studies
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
• Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for product teams and stakeholders.
Service Design & Process Improvement
• Map end-to-end customer journeys and service ecosystems.
• Create service blueprints and process maps to identify pain points and opportunities.
• Simplify complex forms, workflows, and service interactions.
• Challenge unnecessary process complexity and advocate for user-centred improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
• Facilitate workshops and design activities with stakeholders.
• Build alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams.
• Clearly communicate design rationale and evidence-based recommendations.
• Navigate competing priorities and make thoughtful trade-off decisions.
Design Quality & Community Contribution
• Raise design standards across the team through constructive critique and mentorship.
• Identify design gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to design initiatives, knowledge sharing, and experimentation with emerging methods and tools.
• Explore responsible use of AI-assisted design workflows where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For:
• a minimum of 4 solid years’ experience in UX design, product design or service Design
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ownership from discovery through implementation.
• Experience simplifying complex processes, forms, or service experiences.
• Experience working in Agile product environments.
• Strong user research planning and execution capabilities.
• Ability to synthesise research findings into actionable design outcomes.
• Strong understanding of information architecture, user flows, service blueprinting and journey mapping
• Confident presenting design decisions and defending trade-offs using evidence.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and workflows will be highly regarded
