First 90 Days

• Immerse yourself in the altSchool core values and methods, understanding our innovative approach to special education
• Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging, individualised learning experiences aligned with our curriculum
• Establish a positive and supportive classroom environment for our diverse learners
• Begin forming strong, communicative relationships with families and the broader school community

Typical Expectations

• Provide consistent support to Lead and Co-Teachers, contributing to a seamless educational experience
• Actively engage with and support our students, applying differentiated instructional methods
• Collaborate in the monitoring and reporting of student progress, adapting to their evolving needs
• Continue to grow professionally, embracing ongoing training and development opportunities

Requirements

• A diploma or certificate in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
• Experience working with children, preferably within an educational or special needs setting
• A collaborative spirit with a strong desire to learn and grow within an innovative teaching environment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and effectively with students, staff, and parents
• A proactive and flexible approach to classroom duties
