BIOLOGY TEACHER

Selection Preferred Criteria:

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
• Teachers having prior work experience at DPS will be eligible for a higher qualifying salary.
• Teachers who have work experience at Private schools in Singapore will be eligible for a higher qualifying salary.
• Singaporean applicants will have an added advantage.

Duties:

• Develop lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Responsible for teaching biology to the students.
• Present lessons that cater to the needs of all the students within the class.
• Checking of notebook, preparing worksheets, setting question papers.
• Conducting practical lessons.
• Supervising and grading examinations, and, at the end of the semester or year, grading each student.
• Handling other duties related to subject according to requirement of the School.
• Prior Experience of teaching Biology subject is required (Grade 9-12).
• Demonstrates the necessary subject knowledge and teaching methodology.
• Ensures the safety of students at all times
• Communicates and provides feedback to the parents during the Parent Teacher Meetings, and whenever necessary.
• Identifies students who may require additional support and ensures they receive the necessary support.
• Works in line with co-teachers & team mates.
