Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Executive to drive strategic growth and expand our student enrolment and partnership base across Malaysia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, cultivating long-term relationships with key educational prospects, and conducting high-impact product showcases. This role requires a blend of proactive lead generation, strategic relationship management, and consultative presentation skills to engage effectively with parents, international schools, and educational partners.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research and Lead Generation

  • Identify New Leads: Conduct detailed market research to identify prospective growth channels, international schools, enrichment hubs, and tutorial centers across Malaysia.
  • Pipeline Analysis: Map out localized educational trends and customer demographics to target high-potential student communities.
  • Outreach Strategies: Formulate data-driven B2B and B2C outreach plans to constantly feed the business development pipeline.

Lead Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Curation & Engagement: Build, curate, and maintain a high-quality pipeline of potential educational partners, school administrators, and parent communities.
  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for prospective institutional clients, ensuring continuous engagement and long-term brand loyalty.
  • Consultative Nurturing: Guide leads systematically through the acquisition funnel by addressing unique local educational needs and curriculum alignment.

Product Demonstrations and Events

  • Deliver Showcases: Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations highlighting our AI-driven learning tools and proprietary curriculum.
  • Represent the Brand: Coordinate and lead presence at local educational fairs, corporate roadshows, parenting workshops, and school events to expand network touchpoints.
  • Onboarding Support: Oversee trial subscriptions and initial diagnostic testing walkthroughs for newly onboarded partners or large parent cohorts.

Reporting and Pipeline Optimization

  • Periodic Progress Reporting: Compile and present comprehensive weekly and monthly reports outlining pipeline progress, lead conversion metrics, and market feedback.
  • CRM Governance: Manage and maintain accurate customer profiles, interaction history, and deal tracking within the company CRM system.
  • Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly partnership acquisition benchmarks and subscriber enrolment targets.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in business development, B2B/B2C sales, or partnership management—preferably within EdTech, corporate training, e-learning, or the education sector.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant asset for communicating with diverse local educational communities.
  • Strong track record in initiating cold outreach, conducting commercial market research, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Confident presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to clearly demonstrate digital software and tech platforms.
  • Highly structured approach to workload with strong analytical skills for progress reporting and CRM data management.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
