Job Description

Mulberry Learning @ Clarke Quay is a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool and infant care centre serving children from 2 months to 6 years. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Principal to lead our centre with warmth, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of school administration, including documentation, compliance, and reporting in accordance with ECDA licensing requirements
• Conduct professional and engaging school tours for prospective families, effectively communicating the centre's philosophy and programmes
• Oversee centre operations including facilities management, vendor coordination, procurement, and day-to-day logistics
• Manage manpower planning and HR matters, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, staff development, and performance management
• Drive enrolment, managing the full enquiry-to-registration journey and maintaining strong occupancy rates
• Ensure best practices and SOPs are implemented consistently across all areas of the centre, upholding ECDA standards at all times
• Plan, coordinate, and execute centre events including open houses, parent engagement sessions, festive celebrations, and community programmes
• Champion the centre's pedagogical approach and support teachers in curriculum delivery, documentation, and reflective practice
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with enrolled and prospective families

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership); Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Registered with ECDA as an early childhood educator (L2 certified or above)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or deputy principal capacity
• Strong knowledge of ECDA regulations, licensing requirements, and curriculum frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with strong problem-solving and operational management abilities
• Experience with Reggio Emilia-inspired or play-based pedagogy is an advantage
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin is an advantage

Working Hours: 5-day work week

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience (to be discussed at interview), including enrolment bonus and AWS
