Cook cum Cleaner @ Membina

JOB DESCRIPTION

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to the Centre’s meal plan and dietary requirements, and assist the cleaner when required

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare ingredients (washing, peeling, cutting etc.
• Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and tea) for children and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, pantry, and food storage areas
• Assist in ensuring there are sufficient ingredients for daily cooking
• Label and store the food properly to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination
• Responsible for replenishment of pantry snacks, water supply in classrooms and prepare refreshment for the meeting when applicable
• Assist with cleaning duties when the cleaner is not on duty
• Assist in serving meals for the children
• Other tasks assigned by the Principal

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior cooking experience in childcare or similar environment preferred
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in childcare settings
• Able to multitask and follow structured routines
• Physically fit and able to perform cooking and cleaning tasks
