Healthy Start Child Development Centre - Bukit Merah View
Healthy Start is a full-day child and infant care facility for children from disadvantaged backgrounds or unstable home environments, offering access to quality pre-school education that they might otherwise forgo. With a commitment to maintaining a low student-teacher ratio and affordable rates, we provide children with a conducive and safe environment and tailored preschool curriculum that nurtures their learning and developmental needs. At Healthy Start, we serve as a safety net, bridging the gap for those who may otherwise be excluded from mainstream childcare due to their challenging situations.
Role Overview
As an Early Childhood Educator at HSCDC, you will play a crucial role in fostering the learning and development of children in our care. You will be responsible for crafting and executing a personalized and targeted preschool curriculum that caters to the varied emotional, social, cognitive, and physical requirements of our young learners. Additionally, you will forge strong, positive bonds with caregivers and parents, expanding the network of support for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement creative, play-based learning experiences that cater to the developmental needs and interests of children from infancy through age 6.
· Foster a culture of curiosity and exploration, recognizing and celebrating each child’s strengths and interests.
· Focus on nurturing children’s social and emotional development as well as dispositions and approaches to learning.
· Work closely with small groups of children, providing individualized attention and support to facilitate their growth and development.
· Embrace diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that children from all backgrounds and circumstances feel valued and supported.
· Collaborate with Community Workers from Beyond Social Services to leverage resources and support networks to enhance the services provided to our children and their families.
Requirements and Qualifications
· At least one year of teaching experience in early childhood settings. Candidates with at least O Level qualifications without experience may be provided training.
· ECDA L2 certified (For pre-school age groups).
· First Aid Certification will be an advantage.
· Beginning teachers are also welcome.
· Able to work independently and as a team.
