Early Intervention Preschool Teacher

Curriculum Implementation:

• Implement developmentally appropriate curricula and lesson plans based on individualized education plans (IEPs) and developmental goals.
• Modify and adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of children with developmental delays and disabilities.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional strategies to promote learning, social-emotional development, and communication skills.

Individualized Instruction:

• Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate children's progress and identify areas of need.
• Provide individualized instruction and interventions to address specific learning goals and objectives.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Teach and mentor children in a class, small groups, and one-on-one settings.
• Collaborate with therapists and support staff to integrate therapies and interventions into daily routines and activities.

Classroom Management:

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging and supports each child's social-emotional development.
• Establish clear behavior expectations and implement behavior management strategies that promote positive behaviors and self-regulation.
• Promote independence and self-help skills through structured routines and activities.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment by maintaining appropriate classroom materials, equipment, and resources.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to develop and review individualized education plans (IEPs) and set goals for each child.
• Conduct regular parent conferences and provide ongoing communication about children's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in team meetings, staff development activities, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Uphold the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress, assessments, and individualized interventions.
