We combine our own programmes with a wide selection of tuition and enrichment programmes so as to offer our community the bestpossible learning opportunities, empowering families to tailor their child’s unique learning journey.
If you are excited by helping create the future of education and enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we would love to meet you!
About Agora Playschool & Preschool
Agora Playschool is an enrichment programme for children aged 6 months to 3 years old that can be adult accompanied. It offers a complete sensory and educational experience for young children that prepares them for Preschool. Our teachers engage on a deep level with the children in order to discover their likes and dislikes, allowing them to display their true characters through imagination and exploration.
Agora Preschool places an emphasis on providing a genuinely personalised experience for each child. Our innovative and creative teachers, along with differentiated and tiered lessons, offer an opportunity that challenges each individual to reach their full potential. During a unique observation period, our teachers are given the timeto comprehend the needs of their students and gain insights from parents, enabling us to tailor an experience that thoroughly prepares each child for their next steps in education.
The Role
At Agora, we believe childhood should feel meaningful, connected and full of possibility. Our approach blendsa strong exploratory-based foundation with intentional teaching, guided by reflection, inquiry and the development of the whole child.
We are looking for a Co Teacher to join our N2 team: someone who is warm, proactive, and genuinely enjoys working alongside young children as they explore, question and grow.
This role is not about“supporting from the sidelines.” It is about being an active part of the learning process, observing closely, responding thoughtfully, and helping to shape an environment where every child feels seen, capable and inspired.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Work alongside the Lead Teacher to deliver engaging, exploratory-based learning experiences across our six developmental domains(Cognition, Inquiry, Empathy, Values, Personal Effectiveness and Being)
• Support the planning and facilitation of activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking
• Help implement our carousel approach, ensuring children are learning at their own level through differentiated experiences
• Observe children closely and contribute to ongoing assessments, using insights to inform planning and next steps
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for children who need additional guidance
• Set up and maintain purposeful, well-resourced learning environments, stations and provocations
• Nurture a calm, respectful classroom culture where children feel safe to explore, take risks and express themselves
• Work collaboratively with the team to review progress, reflect on practice, and continuously improve outcomes
• Support the smooth running of daily routines, including transitions, mealtimes and classroom organisation
• Supervise the nap room, ensuring children are settled, safe and well cared for
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, including daily sanitisation of shared spaces
What We’re Looking For
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
• Strong communication skills and a calm, confident presence in the classroom
• A positive, proactive attitude — someone who is willing to learn, reflect and grow
• The ability to build strong relationships with both children and colleagues
• Creative, energetic and thoughtful in approach
• A team player who takes ownership and pride in their role
Qualifications
• L2 notification from ECDA (when the Lead Teacher is absent, the Co Teacher will cover the lesson)
• Diploma or higher qualification preferred
Demands of the Role
• Resilience is key — a strong work ethic and commitment to prioritising the children and our Early Years team is essential
• A clear understanding that a Co Teacher’s role goes beyond ‘assisting’ the Lead Teacher in the classroom
• Attendance at Staff Training is compulsory
• Full-time commitment: 44 hours per week, 7:30am –4:30pm with a 1-hour break
We embrace input from our team members and encourage fresh ideas and continuous improvements, whether you are an educator, an events host or part of our front of house team. Here’s why you should join us:
• Innovative Environment: Work in an environment where your ideas matter and you have the opportunity to drive real change within a tech-enabled setting
• Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values open communication and mutual respect
• Growth Opportunities: Benefit from professional development and courses to advance your career
• Flexible Work Options: Enjoy flexible arrangements to fit your lifestyle
• Be part of a ‘thinking school’ that values reflection as much as outcomes
• Work within a strong, supportive team that prioritises collaboration and professional growth
• Gain hands-on experience with a unique methodology that blends global best practice with clear structure and purpose
• Make a meaningful impact during one of the most important stages of a child’s development
Become part of a forward-thinking team that’s passionate about creating a better placeto learn and grow. If this resonates with you, reach out to us.
