English Teacher

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct English literacy lessons for children aged 2.5 to 12 years old using a structured reading curriculum.
• Teach pre-reading, phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and language development skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources.
• Mark students' work and monitor individual learning progress.
• Maintain accurate student records and provide regular progress updates.
• Communicate professionally with parents through informal discussions, scheduled parent-teacher meetings, and progress consultations.
• Conduct one-to-one lessons and replacement classes when required.
• Support affiliated educational programmes and enrichment activities.
• Foster positive classroom behaviour and help students develop confidence, communication, and social skills.
• Create a safe, engaging, and conducive learning environment while ensuring students' wellbeing.
• Participate in weekly teacher meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development sessions.
• Support assessment activities, centre events, open houses, and student evaluations.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers and centre management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by management as required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Education, English, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with a Diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Education, English Language, English Literature, Linguistics, or other relevant disciplines are also welcome to apply.
• Strong command of spoken and written English with clear pronunciation.
• Preferably at least 2 years of teaching or relevant educational experience.
• Passionate about teaching and nurturing young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and centre management.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility.
• Willing to work on weekends (2 weekends and 3 weekdays work week).
