ENGLISH TEACHER

Preffered Selection Criteria:

• 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Teachers having prior work experience at DPS will be eligible for a higher qualifying salary.
• Teachers who have work experience at Private schools in Singapore will be eligible for a higher qualifying salary.
• Singaporean applicants will have an added advantage.

Job description:

• Responsible for teaching English subject to the students. Demonstrates the necessary subject knowledge and teaching methodology.
• Develop lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Present lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
• Timely Checking marking and correction of notebook & assignments completed by the students, preparing worksheets, setting question papers.
• Reviews the feedback from the academic coordinators & HOD and revises the lesson plans accordingly.
• Up to date knowledge of latest teaching aids, such as the use of technology in classroom learning and for home based learning.
• Identifies students who may require additional assistance, academic or non-academic, and ensures they receive the necessary support. Assess, records and reports on the development, progress and results of students.
• Communicates and provide feedback to the parents during the Parent Teacher Meetings, and whenever necessary.
• Collaborates with co-teachers to share new ideas, teaching approaches, content and professional knowledge.
• Takes care of safety of the students.
• Checking of notebook, preparing worksheets, setting question papers.
• Supervising and grading examinations, and, at the end of the semester or year, grading each student.
• Handling other duties according to requirement of the School.
