This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching Science, connects well with students, and can explain scientific concepts clearly across different levels. We are looking for a teacher who can teach from Primary 4 Science to Secondary 4 Science, with a clear subject strength in either Physics or Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science classes from Primary 4 to Secondary 4

• Teach Primary Science and Secondary Science, with a focus on either Physics or Chemistry

• Deliver lessons in a clear, engaging, and student-friendly manner

• Explain Science concepts patiently and relate them to real-life examples where appropriate

• Help students strengthen their understanding, answering techniques, and confidence in Science

• Build strong rapport with students and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback where needed

• Prepare, review, and familiarize yourself with teaching materials before lessons

• Guide students in handling open-ended questions, scientific keywords, and structured explanations

• Encourage curiosity, active participation, and good learning habits in class

Requirements

• University graduate

• 1 year of part-time or full-time teaching experience in tuition, enrichment, or school settings preferred

• Able to teach from Primary 4 Science to Secondary 4 Science

• Must have a clear teaching strength in either Physics or Chemistry

• Strong communication skills and good classroom engagement

• Patient, responsible, and passionate about education

• Able to explain concepts clearly to students of different levels and abilities

• Able to commit to a 4-day work week consisting of 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day

Ideal Candidate

You enjoy teaching Science and believe that students learn best when concepts are explained clearly, patiently, and meaningfully. You are able to make Science feel less intimidating by breaking down difficult ideas into simple explanations and helping students see how concepts apply in real life.

You should be comfortable working with students of different abilities, from those who need help building confidence to those aiming for stronger academic performance. You are engaging, responsible, and willing to grow with the centre.

Compensation

$3,500 – $4,500 per month, depending on experience, teaching ability, and suitability for the role.

Additional teaching hours beyond the capped weekly teaching load may be compensated with attractive overtime pay.
