Head of Operations (Preschool – Multi-Centre)

Overview

Our client is looking for a hands-on Head of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operational leadership across multiple preschool centers in Singapore.

The role works closely with Centre Principals to ensure smooth center operations, operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and overall operational support across the centers. The environment is collaborative, community-oriented, and operationally hands-on in nature.

As the organization continues to strengthen and build its operational structure, this role will play an important part in supporting centers on the ground, improving processes, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure sustainable and consistent operations across the network.

This opportunity would suit someone who is operationally grounded, comfortable working within a lean setup, and enjoys building strong operational foundations together with center leaders and management.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Centre Operations Oversight

• Oversee the daily operations across multiple preschool centers

• Work closely with Centre Principals to support smooth center operations

• Monitor center operations, staffing situations, enrolment trends, and operational consistency across centers

• Provide operational guidance and support to Principals on day-to-day center matters

• Support centers in resolving operational challenges and manpower gaps when required

Compliance, Licensing & Centre Readiness

• Ensure centers remain compliant with ECDA regulations, licensing requirements, and operational standards

• Support centers in preparation for ECDA visits, licensing renewals, SPARK/SPARK 2.0 assessments, and internal operational reviews

• Work closely with Principals to identify operational gaps, follow up on rectifications, and improve operational readiness across centers

• Ensure proper operational documentation, SOPs, and reporting processes are maintained consistently

SOPs, Process Improvement & Operational Consistency

• Review and strengthen SOPs and operational processes across centers

• Drive operational consistency and alignment across the organization

• Support implementation of operational improvements and process enhancements

• Work with center leaders to improve workflows and operational efficiency

People Leadership & Centre Support

• Partner closely with Centre Principals on staffing, manpower planning, and operational matters

• Support leadership development and operational coaching for center leaders where required

• Build strong working relationships with Principals and center teams

• Work collaboratively with HQ support functions and stakeholders across the organization

Stakeholder & Organizational Support

• Liaise with management and relevant stakeholders on operational matters

• Support organizational planning, center setup initiatives, and operational projects when required

• Provide operational insights and recommendations to support decision-making

Requirements

• Strong experience within preschool / childcare / early childhood operations

• Prior experience overseeing multiple centers or supporting multi-site preschool operations

• Hands-on experience with ECDA licensing, compliance, SPARK/SPARK 2.0, and operational readiness

• Comfortable working within a lean and hands-on operational environment

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience working closely with Centre Principals and center leadership teams

• Classroom teaching/principal experience within preschool settings will be highly advantageous

Additional Information

• Centers are located across different parts of Singapore

• Some travelling between centers and HQ will be required as part of the role
