Job Description

The new preschool will be situated in an environment where lush greenery meets a man-made environment with cutting-edge technology, EtonHouse will be a haven for children to play, learn and discover. At EtonHouse, we believe that the environment is the third teacher to help children learn. Our children will learn through our process of inquiry and experimentation while immersed in the outdoors. We aim to create an inclusive space in the outdoors while providing a unique learning experience for children as they develop into confident thinkers and communicators. We want to promote intergenerational learning exchanges where children and their families come together to learn and explore. There will be communal spaces for hands-on exploration within the indoor and outdoor spaces of the school. We will also plan family excursions to the various attractions.

Taking advantage of the greenery in the surroundings, we will turn the area into numerous learning spaces with different features. The intentional planning of the environment will reflect three broad themes – to be a world of gardens for all to own, enjoy and cherish.

Job Role & Responsibilities

• Undertake the teaching of a class in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and guidelines.
• Plan and carry out the daily programme, developmental and care-giving tasks as assigned.
• Create meaningful language opportunities for children where a love for language can be promoted.
• Document children’s learning through contributions towards newsletters, class panels and children’s portfolios.
• Attend to the health, hygiene and safety needs of the infants.
• Create a safe environment and provide the best possible care to infants under their care.
• Build and maintain good rapport with parents.

Who are we looking for

• Obtained at least a Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development, or Advance Certificate in Early Years.
• ECDA Certified (Early Years) - EY1/EY2
• First Aid Certificate recognized by ECDA
