Job Summary

International School Homeroom Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Cambridge curriculum in Mathematics, English, or Science by applying subject matter expertise to design and execute engaging lessons for students aged 5 to 14 years
• Manage homeroom classes by fostering positive relationships with students and parents to support a collaborative learning environment
• Monitor and assess student progress and attainment within your subject area to inform instructional strategies and improve learning outcomes
• Communicate effectively with parents and school stakeholders to report on student development and address learning needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a First Aid Certificate to ensure student safety and respond effectively to emergencies
• Possess a Registered Teacher Qualification such as QTS or an equivalent credential to meet professional teaching standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in education demonstrating foundational knowledge in teaching methodologies and child development (Diploma education is not sufficient).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Homeroom Teacher in an international school setting to deliver curriculum and manage classroom dynamics effectively
• At least 5 years of prior experience in an international school environment preferred to contribute to school culture and student success
