Learning Support Educator

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of providing essential learning support to students with hearing loss within mainstream Primary and Secondary school settings. Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-on-one literacy support to students with hearing loss in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
2. Regularly assess and monitor each student’s progress according to their individual needs, and keep records of their performance.
3. Liaise and work closely with school personnel, parents and other stakeholders.
4. Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention outcomes in alignment with the funders' and organisational guidelines.
5. Support reviews of Learning Support SOPs, and recommend process improvements.
6. Assist in planning and facilitating workshops or outreach sessions for schools, parents, and the community.
7. Collaborate with the Itinerant Support Team to achieve performance targets and uphold service standards.
8. Support audit processes and prepare data or evidence for reporting purposes.
9. Attend training, including Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) beyond Level 1.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience delivering literacy intervention or supporting students aged 7 or above with learning difficulties in schools/learning centres. Prior experience working with students with hearing loss is welcome but not essential.
2. Diploma in any field with GCE ‘O’ level passes (Min C6 and above) in English and Mathematics
3. Meticulous and good time management skills
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Selected candidates must:
   1. Apply for the Instructor Registration Scheme (IRS) with MOE
   2. Use SgSL to communicate with clients
