Mathematics Teacher (Secondary / Pre-University Levels)

Job Responsibilities

You will report to the Head of Department (Mathematics) and your duties will include:

·        Prepare Mathematics lessons and Scheme of Work according to required syllabuses.

·        Conduct learning activities in the classroom.

·        Teach Mathematics to diverse student population with varying abilities and backgrounds.

·        Set and vet examination papers.

·        Invigilate tests and examinations.

·        Mark assignments and examination scripts

·        Assess and record students’ progress according to department and school policies.

·        Organize relevant events, competitions, activities when needed.

·        Provide pastoral care and manage students’ discipline; performing all aspects of Care Teacher duties if assigned.

·        Complete all administrative duties related to teaching Mathematics.

·        Maintain good communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

·        Attend Parent-Teacher-Meetings, average 3 times a year.

Job Requirements

·        A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.

·        Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from NIE is a plus.

·        At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in Mathematics in a school setting.

·        Familiar with Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Math, GCE O-Level A/E Math, IGCSE Math or WACE Math syllabus.

·        Strong proficiency in mathematics content knowledge across secondary/pre-university levels, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.

·        Proficient in using educational technology tools and platforms to support mathematics instruction and assessment.

·        Meticulous and well-organised.

·        Good interpersonal and communication skills.

·        A team player.
