Music Master Class Teacher

Job Summary

The Music Teacher Master Class is responsible for designing, delivering, reviewing and improving high-quality music enrichment programmes for preschool children.

The role requires the employee to provide engaging, age-appropriate and develop suitable music experiences that encourage children to participate actively through singing, movement, rhythm, instrumental exploration, creative expression and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a structured and progressive music curriculum for children from Playgroup, Nursery 1, Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1and Kindergarten

• 2.    Ensure lesson content is appropriate for each age group’s developmental stage, attention span, physical and fine-motor abilities, language and comprehension level, social and emotional development, musical readiness and individual learning needs.

• Develop a progressive sequence of musical skills, including listening and sound awareness, beat and rhythm, singing, movement, body percussion, instrument exploration, musical expression, creative improvisation, ensemble participation and performance confidence.

•  Demonstrate a sound understanding of the developmental milestones and learning characteristics of preschool

• Demonstrate high-quality music teaching practices for centre educators.

• Plan and coordinate music components for graduation concerts, centre celebrations, parent events, festive programmes, open houses and other events.

• Collaborate with Centre Principals, class teachers and management when selecting songs, concepts, costumes, props, instruments, rehearsal schedules and stage arrangements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognised diploma, degree or professional qualification in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts in related field.

• Relevant training or experience in teaching music to preschool-aged children.

• Knowledge of child development and development of appropriate teaching practices.

• Strong practical ability in singing, rhythm, movement and suitable musical instruments.

• Experience coordinating children’s performances, concerts or special events.

• Experience working with preschool educators, centre leaders and parents.
