Job Summary

You will deliver WSQ competency-based training and assessments on noise monitoring, noise control, and hazardous substances risk assessment, ensuring compliance with SkillsFuture Singapore and WSH regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct WSQ “Monitor and Control Noise at the Workplace” training courses and assessments to develop learner competencies in noise management.
• Deliver WSQ “Measure Exposure and Assess the Risks Due to Hazardous Substances” training and assessments to ensure learner proficiency in hazardous substances risk evaluation.
• Facilitate classroom, practical, and workplace-based learning sessions to maximize learner engagement and skill acquisition.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, training materials, practical activities, and assessment documentation aligned with WSQ standards.
• Ensure all training activities comply with SkillsFuture Singapore Adult Education standards and Workplace Safety and Health regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, assessment evidence, and trainer documentation for audit and quality assurance purposes.
• Support curriculum review and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and relevance.
• Stay updated on current WSH legislation, occupational hygiene practices, and industry developments to maintain training currency.
• Manage adult learners effectively by applying appropriate communication, presentation, and facilitation techniques in diverse learning environments.

Required competencies and certifications

• ACTA or ACLP certification (mandatory)
• DACE or DDDLP certification (mandatory)
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH)

Technical Areas

• Noise Monitoring Course certification
• Industrial Noise Control Course certification
• Competency in monitoring noise and vibration
• Competency in controlling noise and vibration
• Competency in sampling and monitoring airborne contaminants or measuring exposure and assessing risks due to hazardous substances
• Minimum 5 years of WSH experience in occupational hygiene, workplace health, industrial hygiene, or workplace noise monitoring and control
• Experience as an Approved WSH Officer, Noise Monitoring Officer, or Noise Control Officer
• Minimum 2 years of WSH training experience within the last 4 years
• Evidence of maintaining professional currency and continuous professional development
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and SSG competency-based training requirements
