Preschool Educator - Chinese Language

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons & activities according to our preschool curriculum & programmes
• Implement developmentally & culturally appropriate curriculum to support the holistic development of children
• Create a secure, safe & quality learning environment for children
• Carry out routine care duties for children
• Build meaningful, trustful & respectful relationship with children through good classroom & children management strategies
• Prepare teaching materials & learning centres activities to enhance children’s learning
• Monitor chidlren's developmental progress & prepare termly progress reports & half-yearly portfolio for children as well as conduct parent-teacher-meetings
• Ensure health, safety & hygiene of children & maintain cleanliness at the Centre
• Maintain good communication & establish good rapport with parents & families to build trusting & respectful partnership
• Participates in parents & community engagement activities
• Work closely with colleagues & participates in centre-based events & organization initiatives
• Participates in professional development & continuous learning activities & reflective practice

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching (DECCE-T) (Chinese Language)
• ECDA accreditation of L2 Teacher

• Proficient in teaching preschool Chinese Language curriculum at all levels
• Passion in working with & nurturing young children
• Good team player with a positive and can-do attitude
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Dedicated & self-motivated to excel
