About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Beginning Preschool Educator to support the learning and development of children aged 18 month to 6 years. This is an entry-level role for individuals passionate about preschool education who are ready to grow their practice under the guidance of experienced educators.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in delivering preschool curriculum activities under supervision

•Carry out classroom management and daily routines for K1/K2/Nursery classes

•Observe children and contribute to developmental documentation under guidance

•Maintain a safe, orderly and stimulating classroom environment

•Communicate respectfully with families on children's daily experiences

•Follow ECDA licensing requirements and centre protocols

Requirements

•DECCE or equivalent ECDA-recognised qualification

•Genuine passion for preschool-age children and early childhood education

•Good communication, patience and team-working skills

•Bilingual ability preferred Preferred Attributes

•Practicum experience in a kindergarten or childcare preschool setting

•Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy and social-emotional learning approaches

Job Role Description

The Preschool Educator creates a secure and quality learning environment for children through fostering meaningful relationships with them. He/She supports the holistic development of children by implementing a developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula, and nurturing trusting and respectful relationships with the children.

He/She builds partnerships with parents and families, and actively engages in Centre initiatives to support its collaborative efforts with the community. He/She works closely with colleagues and contributes to a culture of collaboration and collegiality. As a reflective Early Childhood Educator, he/she participates in professional development and service quality improvement activities.
