Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Principal to lead the daily operations, curriculum direction, and academic excellence of a well-established preschool centre. This role requires a strong leader who has previously managed large centres (100+ enrolment) and is confident in driving enquiry-based learning approaches.
The successful candidate will oversee curriculum implementation, staff leadership, parent engagement, and centre operations, ensuring full compliance with ECDA regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement and centre growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the full operations of a large preschool centre
Provide strong instructional leadership, with a focus on enquiry-based learning practices
Mentor, coach, and develop teaching staff to maintain high-quality teaching standards
Ensure effective and consistent curriculum implementation across all levels
Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, families, and stakeholders
Ensure full compliance with ECDA regulations and internal centre policies
Oversee enrolment, staffing, manpower planning, scheduling, and daily operations
Foster a positive, high-performance, and nurturing school culture
Drive staff development, performance management, and continuous improvement
Work closely with management on strategic planning, enrolment growth, and centre improvement initiatives
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education or related field
L2 certification and Principal Certification recognized by ECDA
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience as Principal / Centre Leader
Proven experience managing large preschool centres with 100+ children enrolment
Strong exposure to or experience in enquiry-based learning / child-led curriculum approaches
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of ECDA regulations and preschool operations
Passionate about early childhood education, team development, and quality improvement
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
1 Saturday per month (as required)
Salary
$5,000 to $7,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
Additional Information
Shortlisting will prioritise candidates with large centre leadership experience and enquiry-based learning exposure
Interview process will begin with a WhatsApp video call after 8:00PM prior to face-to-face arrangements
