Job Description - Robotics Curriculum Developer & Instructor (Mechanical Focus)

In addition, we collaborate with primary and secondary schools to deliver structured and industry-relevant robotics programmes. We seek educators with a background in science, technology, engineering or related disciplines. We have a comprehensive teacher training and development system in place. Even if you do not have prior teaching experience, as long as you possess solid technical knowledge and a strong willingness to learn, we will provide structured onboarding and professional training to support your growth.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Robotics Academic Tutor with a strong mechanical engineering background to:
- Teach integrated robotics (mechanics + programming + basic electronics)
- Guide students through hands-on, project-based learning
      - Build students’ engineering thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured robotics (mechanical design, building, programming, testing) and STEM lessons to primary and secondary school students to enhance their understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
  • Develop and refine lesson plans and teaching materials focused on robotics hardware and mechanical systems to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness
  • Teach fundamental concepts in mechanical design, basic electronics, and applied engineering to build students’ foundational knowledge
  • Guide students through hands-on robotics assembly, prototyping, and project-based learning to foster practical skills and innovation
  • Use SolidWorks (basic level) for structure design teaching
  • Support and mentor students participating in robotics competitions to enhance their competitive performance and technical capabilities
  • Maintain classroom discipline and enforce safe workshop practices to provide a secure and productive learning environment
  • Participate in internal training sessions and contribute to continuous curriculum enhancement to keep teaching methods and content up to date

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical / Computer, etc.) or related discipline
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling) and/or AutoCAD for designing and modeling mechanical components
  • Basic programming knowledge (training will be provided) to support robotics programming tasks
  • Understanding of integrated systems (mechanics + control)
  • Strong hands-on ability to assemble and troubleshoot robotics hardware effectively
  • Technical problem-solving skills to address challenges during lesson delivery and student projects
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage and mentor young learner
