Grace Orchard School caters to students who have been diagnosed with Mild Intellectual Disability (MID) and those with Mild Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD). The school is specifically for students ranging from 7-18 years old who have Intellectual Quotient (IQ) which falls within the range of 50-70. The school is a non- profit organisation under Presbyterian Community Social Services (PCS).

Job Description:

•       Plan and carry out lessons to nurture and stimulate the development of students with special needs

•       Monitor and maintain the discipline in the classes

•       Provide a safe and stimulating educational environment to ensure the well-being of students

•       Communicate with parents /caregivers so as to provide pastoral care and counselling helps to students

•       Plan and conduct CCAs and enrichment activities as assigned

•       Contribute to the assigned committee(s) in an active and constructive manner

Requirements:

•       Recognised University Degree /Diploma / DISE

•       Excellent command of the English language

•       Passion and commitment in guiding children to excel

•       Boldness to meet challenges in adynamic environment

•       Good team player quality with personal initiative

•       Strong work ethics and pleasant disposition

•       Relevant experience in teaching students with autism will be an advantage
