AI Engineer（Senior Level）

Job description：

1. Lead the design and optimization of search relevance, ranking, and overall user experience on the Mi.com platform

2. Architect and evolve end-to-end search systems, including query understanding, retrieval, ranking, and re-ranking pipelines

3. Build scalable and production-ready ML systems for search, handling large-scale real-time and unstructured data

4. Develop advanced query understanding capabilities (e.g., query rewriting, intent classification, semantic parsing)

5. Optimize system performance across relevance, latency, and scalability dimensions

6. Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot ML models in production environments

7. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful search improvements

Requirement：

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field

2. 5+ years of experience in search, information retrieval, or large-scale ML systems

3. Proficiency in Java with strong engineering fundamentals

4. Hands-on experience building large-scale search or recommendation systems

5. Familiarity with vector search infrastructure (e.g., FAISS or similar systems)

6. Proven experience building scalable ML systems in production (training → deployment → monitoring → iteration)

7. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English, in order to support coordination and collaboration with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, teams, and business partners across regional markets.
