Job Summary

YT Automation Singapore is looking for an enthusiastic Application / Technical Support Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career engineers passionate about automation and problem-solving. You will play a key role in supporting the technical sales process and providing application expertise for a wide range of industrial automation products. You’ll work closely with customers in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia to deliver solutions, training, and technical assistance that add value to their operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the full range of distributed automation products to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
• Analyze customer technical needs to provide tailored pre-sales and post-sales application support and solutions
• Prepare and deliver clear technical proposals, application notes, and solution-based documentation to support sales and customer understanding
• Respond promptly to customer queries and technical issues via email, phone, or onsite visits to resolve challenges effectively
• Conduct product training sessions and live demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and product adoption
• Collaborate with the sales team to maintain and strengthen customer relationships, driving business growth
• Use application expertise to demonstrate how solutions outperform competing products, influencing customer decisions
• Interface with product principals to relay customer feedback and recommend product enhancements for continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and technology partners to ensure excellent service and ongoing collaboration

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC, Control/Automation, and IoT technologies to enhance solution delivery
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in automation or technical support roles
• Passion for automation with creative and adaptive problem-solving approaches
• Good communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, Industrial, or Mechatronics fields
• Entry-level candidates and fresh graduates are welcome; training on products will be provided
