Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan, coordinate, and support the execution of engineering projects from initial project inquiry through final customer acceptance.
Support pre-sales activities, including feasibility studies, process validation, machine layout preparation, and technical proposal documentation.
Monitor project schedules, prepare project milestone plans, coordinate installation and commissioning activities, and support on-time project completion and customer acceptance.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, technical documents, project schedules, progress reports, and project records, ensuring requirements and deliverables are accurately documented and communicated.
Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, technical discussions, and site visits as required.
Track project costs and monitor project profitability, budget performance, and project financial status.
Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely issue resolution.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Travel locally and overseas to support project implementation, machine installation, commissioning, customer training, and technical support when required.
Coordinate showroom housekeeping, safety compliance, preventive maintenance, and 5S activities. Support customer visits, technical presentations, factory tours, and machine demonstrations in collaboration with the Sales and Applications teams.
Undertake additional responsibilities, cross-functional assignments, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned, providing opportunities to broaden technical expertise and project management capabilities
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum Higher NITEC or diploma in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
1–2 years of experience in project coordination or engineering, preferably in the CNC machine tool or manufacturing industry.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, as on-the-job training will be provided.
Basic proficiency in SolidWorks, ZWCAD, AutoCAD, or other related CAD software. Knowledge of CAM software will be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of CNC machining, including multi-axis and multi-tasking machining processes, is an advantage.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, machining principles, cutting tools, workholding systems, jigs & fixtures, factory automation, and manufacturing best practices.
Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a sense of urgency in handling assigned tasks and project responsibilities.
A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical knowledge and skills.
Willing to travel locally and overseas to support customers, regional offices, and project activities when required.
