Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Job Objectives

• To do periodic maintenance of equipment (both fab A and fab B equipment)
• To do trouble shooting and repair and maintenance to get the equipment up.
• To manage spares so as to ensure sufficient spares are available to minimize equipment downtime.
• To be able to evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, analyze and improve various types of facilities equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment.
• To provide engineering support in upgrading and setting up new equipment capabilities required by the NPI (New Product Introduction) project teams

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of fab equipment key performance indicators such as % availability, mean time to repair (MTTR). 
• Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of company’s fab equipment.  
• Document maintenance procedures and processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and support audit functions.
• Perform equipment upgrades as per Fab requirements.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.
• Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce facilities equipment failures.
• Monitor facilities equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Maintain documentations for facilities equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
• Assist R&D engineers in all Product Development work (NPI)
• Provide support for troubleshooting facilities equipment.
• Test and approve new facilities equipment before commissioning.
• Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
• Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
• All other reasonable jobs as assigned.

Qualification Guidelines

Minimum Education

Higher NITEC or Diploma in engineering or sub-field of engineering

Minimum Experience

At least 1 year experience in wafer fab maintenance, repair or servicing of facilities equipment.
