Assistant Mechanical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• To lead all preventive maintenance activitiesrelated to mechanical, track effectiveness of PM regime and propose reliabilityactions that is aligned with the company's ISO, GMP, FSSC, HACCP and QHSErequirements to drive further plant maintenance improvement.
• To efficiently manage emergency / unscheduledrepairs of production equipment and must possess the capacity to effectively liaisewith resources (Internal and External) and guide team member in bridging jobrelated technical deficiencies to prevent manufacturing downtime.
• To lead improvement projects and manage internal/externalresources to achieve set targets and spearhead project execution.
• To monitor and perform data analysis of executedand completed equipment reliability action task in optimizing maintenanceprocesses.
• To assist in the planning, coordination withexternal vendors and preparation of all planned maintenance activities during plantshutdown to have smooth execution.
• To closely monitor the Annual PreventiveMaintenance (PM) Schedule execution and ensure allocation of required internaland external resources.
• To lead and manage the mechanical team in providingemergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform remodeling andinitiate improvements to equipment for better capability, performance ensuringcompliance to the site’s procedure for change management.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assignedby the Maintenance Manager.

JOBREQUIREMENTS :

• NITEC orDiploma in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years relevantmaintenance experience in a process plant or manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Hands-on experiencein maintaining and troubleshooting machinery and equipment
• Exposure to a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP, would be anadded advantage
• Willingness to support emergency maintenance work when required
