Assistant Test Engineer

Job Description: 

• Coordinate and manage ECO/ERO approvals to ensure timely implementation of engineering changes.

• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) testing and prepare full FAIR documentation for new products.

• Assist with product certification processes, including in-progress applications.

• Perform internal R&D testing (mechanical and electronic) and prepare comprehensive test reports.

• Set up and install products for testing, including physical setup and functional validation.

• Deliver product and standards training/updates for new hires and the sales team.

• Conduct load testing; lift and carry heavy items/equipment as required.

• Manage R&D lab equipment; ensure regular calibration and maintenance in line with ISO standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 1 year of experience in the consumer products, construction, manufacturing, or built-environment industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Good work ethic; comfortable in a fast-paced environment and physically able to handle bulky items.

• Familiarity with BCA/PUB requirements, WELS and Safety Mark compliance, ISO standards, and lab equipment calibration.
