Associate Systems Solutions Engineer

Job Summary:

The Associate Systems Solutions Engineer supports the company’s presales function in developing technical proposals for Extra Low Voltage systems, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and public address/voice alarm (PA/VA) systems. This is a junior/associate-level role suited to candidates building a foundation in ELV systems design and presales, working closely with senior presales engineers on client opportunities across company’s core industry segments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior presales engineers in preparing technical proposals, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), product datasheets, and compatibility checks.
• Independently handle smaller and more straightforward RFQs involving standard ELV scope at a single site.
• Conduct site surveys for less complex sites or accompany senior staff on more involved surveys.
• Prepare technical schedules, device/cable counts, and basic system schematics to support proposal development.
• Translate client requirements into draft scope of work under the guidance of senior team members.
• Participate in client meetings alongside senior presales staff to build client-facing exposure and experience.
• Maintain familiarity with leading VMS, access control, and related ELV platforms used across current projects (e.g. mainstream CCTV/VMS and access control brands), using these as reference points rather than fixed requirements.
• Support internal coordination across engineering, project delivery, and sales teams on assigned opportunities.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in ELV systems — whether in a technical/installation background transitioning into presales, or existing presales exposure.
• Working knowledge of ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and PA/VA (exposure to specific vendor platforms is an advantage, not a requirement).
• Good command of English for technical documentation and client communication.
• Strong client engagement mindset, even in a supporting capacity.
• Effective communicator across cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, project delivery).
• A collaborative team player.
• Curious and innovative in approach to problem-solving and technical learning.
