Job Summary

As a Field Service Engineer, you will lead technical delivery and project execution of automation and control systems, collaborating with project managers and teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engineering and project management activities across all project phases including planning, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of control system projects
• Design, develop, and program control systems to meet engineering specifications and project requirements
• Provide regular status updates and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project managers and Engineering Team Leaders
• Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures within the project scope
• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams including engineers, technicians, contract staff, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery
• Foster a collaborative team environment that supports effective communication and problem-solving
• Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned projects, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met
• Adapt to evolving technologies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Apply critical thinking and attention to detail to troubleshoot and optimize control systems
• Demonstrate active listening and cultural values aligned with the organization
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate Manager

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation, control, and electrical projects including design, consulting, implementation, and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics, electrical fundamentals, and programming languages relevant to control systems
• Proficient understanding of industrial control systems, preferably Rockwell Automation solutions, and IT/OT infrastructure
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking and proactive information-seeking approach

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), life sciences, or data center environments
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products and software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Visio
• Knowledge and experience with low voltage and medium voltage drives
