Automation Engineer (Industrial Equipment)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide technical support for automation, fabrication, and manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production operations.

• Carry out machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks in a hands-on capacity.

• Assist with fabrication work, including equipment modifications, mechanical fitting, and production machinery setup.

• Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to reduce downtime and enhance operational performance.

• Collaborate closely with production teams to maintain smooth equipment operation and uninterrupted manufacturing processes.

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and automation projects aimed at increasing productivity and minimizing process disruptions.

• Interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and electrical schematics to support equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

• Conduct testing, calibration, and validation of automation systems and production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

• Adhere to workplace safety regulations, operational procedures, and production quality standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Solid practical experience and technical expertise in automation systems, machine assembly, fabrication activities, and manufacturing operations.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and electrical schematics.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience in machine installation, commissioning, and production equipment maintenance is highly preferred.

• Certifications or specialized training in PLC programming, industrial automation, equipment maintenance, or fabrication techniques will be considered an advantage.
