About the role

The Aviation Lead – Southeast Asia will drive the growth, market presence, and successful delivery of the aviation portfolio across the region. This role will act as the sector champion for SEA, with responsibility for business development, strategic client engagement, bid leadership, and project mobilisation and oversight. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the aviation sector strategy across Southeast Asia and support APAC-wide growth objectives.

• Identify, develop, and secure new aviation opportunities across the region.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with airport operators, aviation authorities, government bodies, airlines, developers, and strategic partners.

• Lead major pursuits, bids, and tender submissions, including capture planning and interview preparation.

• Work closely with architecture, planning, interiors, and engineering teams to develop integrated project solutions.

• Support project mobilisation by helping to establish governance, delivery structures, and resource plans.

• Provide strategic oversight on aviation projects and support teams to achieve commercial, programme, quality, and client objectives.

• Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and client presentations.

• Foster collaboration across offices and disciplines to support consistent regional delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Aviation Planning, or a related discipline.

• Associate-level professional from an architectural practice, with strong aviation project experience.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in aviation or transportation projects.

• Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and pursuit leadership.

• Strong understanding of airport planning, terminal design, and aviation project delivery.

• Experience working across multiple countries and stakeholder groups in a regional environment.

• Strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and presentation skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a multidisciplinary and matrixed organisation.

• Experience with airport operators, aviation authorities, or aviation-related clients across Southeast Asia is highly preferred.
