Building Drafter

Job Summary

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Drafter with 1–2 years of relevant working experience to support civil and infrastructure projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will assist engineers in preparing and coordinating detailed civil engineering drawings in compliance with local authority requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop civil engineering drawings such as general arrangement plans, profiles, sections, and construction details for infrastructure projects (e.g. roads, drainage, sewerage, earthworks, utilities).

• Assist engineers in translating design concepts and calculations into accurate CAD drawings.

• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, and authority or consultant comments.

• Prepare drawings for submissions to local authorities such as LTA, PUB, BCA, and relevant utility agencies.

• Ensure drawings comply with Singapore standards, codes of practice, and project drafting standards.

• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve drawing clashes and inconsistencies.

• Maintain proper drawing registers, revision records, and documentation control.

• Support construction drawings and as-built drawings when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, or related discipline.

• 1–2 years of experience in civil engineering drafting in Singapore.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of civil engineering works, construction methods, and engineering drawings.

• Familiarity with local authority requirements (LTA, PUB, BCA) and Singapore Standards (SS).

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches accurately.
