Our client is an established B2B organisation serving industrial and energy-related customers. As part of its growth plans in Singapore, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand their renewable energy business and strengthen key customer relationships.
The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth across the renewable energy segment by developing new opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering suitable commercial and technical solutions. The role also oversees sales execution, pipeline management, inventory coordination, collections, and selected regional initiatives.
• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market growth targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
• Manage strategic accounts as the primary commercial contact and develop solutions based on customer requirements.
• Provide commercial and technical support throughout the sales cycle, including proposals, negotiations, and large-contract discussions.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and sales activities through the company’s CRM platform.
• Review sales performance, market developments, competitor activities, and customer trends to support business planning.
• Work closely with internal teams to coordinate inventory, product availability, order fulfilment, and customer service requirements.
• Monitor customer collections and outstanding payments to minimise credit risk and support healthy cash flow.
• Manage relevant supplier relationships and coordinate regional or cross-functional business development projects.
• Support sales capability development by sharing effective customer engagement and sales practices with team members.
• Degree in Business Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant industrial sales or business development experience.
• Exposure to renewable energy, solar photovoltaic solutions, electrical products, or related technical industries will be required.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing customers, sales pipelines, and contract negotiations.
• Able to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical customer solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and structured opportunity management.
• Strong presentation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Self-driven, commercially minded, and able to work independently in a hands-on environment.
• Stable employment history with a consistent record of delivering sales results.
