CAD Manager

Position Overview

The CAD Manager will report directly to the Design Manager and is responsible for optimizing the use of CAD software to support product design, development, and project management. Within a startup environment, this role demands a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on operations to boost team efficiency and ensure high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Tool Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and version control of CAD software, ensuring seamless integration and performance for design workflows.

• Vendor and Stakeholder Communication: Liaise effectively with EDA vendors and customers to resolve issues, negotiate contracts, and align tools with project needs.

• Version & Release Management: Manage version control, compilation, and release processes for CAD files (similar to Configuration Management), preventing conflicts and ensuring timely project milestones.

• Project Collaboration: Support cross-functional teams (e.g., design, R&D) in project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines. 

Requirement Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in CAD management or a closely related role.
• Experience with advanced process nodes is a plus.
• Expertise in maintaining EDA hardware systems.
