Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Petrochemical & Downstream

The Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong Chemical Engineering pedigree and 25+ years of heavy downstream industry experience. As a key member of the executive team, you will drive technology strategy, engineering excellence, and full-lifecycle project execution (FEED, EPC, commissioning) for complex, world-scale petrochemical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical roadmap; oversee multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Basic (BED) and Detailed (DED) design phases.

• Act as the ultimate technical authority to deliver large-scale EPC/EPCM projects on time and within budget, leveraging deep roots in project engineering and management.

• Provide technical governance and evaluate licensors across diverse portfolios, including Naphtha Crackers, Polyolefins, PTA/PET, Aromatics, EDC/VCM/PVC, Acrylic Acid, and Oxo Alcohols.

• Partner with business development to spearhead technical proposals, feasibility studies, and high-level client/licensor relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s or PhD highly preferred).

• 25+ years in the petrochemical, chemical, or global EPC industries.

• Proven success leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and managing large-scale, complex downstream projects.

• Strong exposure to international licensors, advanced process digitization, and deep commercial acumen.
