Job Overview

Loh & Loh Construction is looking for a Civil Engineer to support the planning, coordination and execution of civil engineering works across project sites in Singapore. This role is suitable for candidates who are comfortable working on site, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that works are completed safely, on time and to specification.The role will support a range of projects, with added relevance for specialised building environments such as pharmaceutical construction, where quality control, technical coordination and compliance are especially important.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily site activities for civil engineering works.
• Monitor site progress to ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications and project schedule.
• Work closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical and site coordination issues.- Review drawings, identify discrepancies and propose practical construction solutions.
• Ensure works are carried out in compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, method statements and related technical documents.
• Assist with planning of manpower, materials, equipment and work sequences.
• Support inspection, testing, handover and as-built documentation requirements.
• Contribute to projects involving general civil works, infrastructure works and specialised facilities including pharmaceutical-related construction environments where higher standards of coordination and quality control may be required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.- Relevant experience in civil, infrastructure or building construction projects.
• Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical construction, cleanroom-related works, controlled environments, or projects with strict quality and compliance requirements will have an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, site coordination and construction methods.
• Familiarity with local construction regulations, workplace safety requirements and quality standards in Singapore.
• Able to work effectively with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or project planning tools will be an advantage.
• Willing to work on site and support project delivery according to schedule requirements.
