CIVIL ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical works for construction and infrastructure projects
• Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, and technical documents
• Monitor site progress, installation quality, safety compliance, and project schedules
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities
• Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot electrical and technical issues
• Prepare progress reports, method statements, testing reports, and project documentation
• Ensure electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, and electrical codes
• Assist in project planning, cost control, procurement, and resource management
• Supervise testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of electrical systems
• Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, cable routing, earthing, and ELV systems

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of electrical systems, site coordination, and project management practices
• Familiar with local electrical regulations, safety requirements, and authority submissions
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant engineering software
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities effectively
• Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems will be an advantage
