CNC Lead (O&G/West/4.5k/5 days)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily CNC machining activities to meet production goals, quality requirements, and delivery deadlines
• Configure, operate, and assist in programming various CNC equipment to produce high-precision parts and components
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• Define machining strategies by analyzing work orders, material specifications, cutting parameters, and engineering requirements
• Assess first-run production batches and carry outin-process checks to verify alignment with quality plans and specifications
• Diagnose machining problems and offer technical support to CNC machine operators and machinists
• Work with Engineering and Production departments to enhance machining efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and ensure CNC equipment runs at peak performance levels
• Keep detailed records of production output, inspection results, and related documentation
• Follow workplace safety protocols, quality standards, and organizational policies at all times
• Assist in the training and mentorship of entry-level machinists and new hires

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in CNC machining, ideally within manufacturing or engineering sectors; prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an advantage
• Proven practical expertise in operating CNC lathes, turning, milling, and grinding machines
• Familiarity with CNC programming, including G-code and CAD/CAM software
• Experience working with metal and/or plastic materials in a machining environment
• Solid grasp of engineering drawings, machining tolerances, and inspection criteria
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• High level of attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering quality output
• Capable of working independently with little oversight while effectively managing and guiding a team
