CNC Milling/ Lathe Machinist / Programmer

Job Summary

You will program and operate CNC milling and lathe machines using Mastercam and SolidWorks, ensuring precise fabrication of parts by interpreting engineering drawings and collaborating with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC milling and lathe machines using Mastercam and SolidWorks to produce parts accurately according to engineering drawings
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to guide CNC machine setup and process routing
• Collaborate with production teams and engineers to clarify production requirements and resolve issues
• Translate engineering instructions into machine codes to execute precise machining functions
• Prepare and adjust machine setups for test runs to verify output meets specifications
• Operate machines through full production cycles to fabricate large quantities of parts efficiently
• Create detailed solid models with CAD/CAM software aligned with design specifications
• Coordinate with process engineers and machine technicians to develop and validate machining programs
• Supervise machining tasks and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with measurement standards
• Document CNC programming processes and maintain revision control according to change management procedures

Required competencies and certifications

• Professional certificate in Precision Engineering or a relevant field
• Minimum 1 year of CNC programming experience
• Proficient in programming, handling, and setting up CNC machines
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
• Proficiency in at least one CAD/CAM software with 3D modeling capabilities
• Effective communication skills in English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Keen attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
