Coating Applicator

Job Summary

We are looking for a Coating Applicator to prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to various structures and components. You will be responsible for ensuring surface cleanliness, mixing specialized coatings, and operating high-pressure spray equipment. Your work will directly prevent corrosion and ensure compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Perform abrasive blasting, grit blasting, or manual sanding to remove rust, old paint, and contaminants.
• Coating Application: Apply primers, specialized paints, polyurethane, or thermal sprays using airless sprayers, conventional guns, brushes, or rollers.
• Material Mixing: Measure and mix multi-part chemical coatings, thinners, and catalysts according to technical data sheets.
• Quality Control: Inspect wet/dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) using gauges and ensure the final finish is free of defects like runs or sags.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on blasting pots, spray guns, hoses, and compressors.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including air-fed respirators and safety harnesses.
