Commercial Manager (Civil Engineering/ Contracts Management/ Quantity Surveyor)

• Manage financial and contractual aspects of projects, including resolving disputes with contractors and suppliers.
• Responsible for financial success, cost control, risk management, and contract negotiation.
• Contract and Commercial Negotiation:
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
• Providing expert guidance and intervention to resolve major contractual claims and disputes with contractors and suppliers.
• Overseeing project budgets, cost control, expenditure, and ensuring costs stay within projected estimates.
• Manage correspondence with internal and external teams regarding the timely pricing and agreement of variations, effective handling of contract charges, and early settlement of disputes / claims.
• Preparing budgets, Tracking expenses, Identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Proactively managing commercial risks, including identification, analysis, and contingency planning. Managing and evaluating commercial changes on projects, ensuring proper documentation and control.
• A degree in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience in the construction industry, with specific experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or contract administration.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, cost management software, and accounting principles.
