Position: Data Processor (CAD)
Department : Hydrographic Survey Operations
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Processor (CAD) to join our Hydrographic Survey team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing hydrographic and geospatial survey data, preparing CAD deliverables, ensuring data quality, and supporting offshore and nearshore survey projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Process hydrographic survey data acquired from multibeam echo sounders, single beam echo sounders, side-scan sonar, motion sensors, and other survey equipment.
· Prepare bathymetric charts, seabed maps, survey plans, profiles, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and related software.
· Perform data cleaning, validation, quality control, and quality assurance checks.
· Generate survey deliverables in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
· Maintain survey databases, project files, and document control records.
· Assist in the preparation of technical reports, charts, and project submissions.
· Coordinate with Hydrographic Surveyors, Party Chiefs, and Operations Manager to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
· Support offshore and nearshore survey projects by processing and interpreting survey data.
· Maintain processing records, logs, and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with company QHSE and ISO requirements.
Requirements
· Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in survey data processing, CAD drafting, or hydrographic survey operations.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Experience with hydrographic processing software such as Qimera, Terramodel, Qinsy, ArcGIS, or similar software is an advantage.
· Knowledge of hydrographic survey principles and bathymetric data processing.
· Familiarity with IHO standards and offshore survey deliverables is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience
· Hydrographic Survey and Offshore Survey projects.
· Bathymetric data processing and chart production.
· GIS and geospatial data management.
· Offshore construction support, dredging, cabler route, pipeline route, or port development projects.
