Desktop Engineer (1-Year Renewable Contract)

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 IT support for end-user computing issues, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, email, printers, and basic network connectivity.
• Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests in the IT service management system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Perform user account support, including password resets and access issues
• Escalate complex technical issues to Level 2/Level 3 support teams when required
• Coordinate with onsite engineers for advanced troubleshooting and user support
• Follow up with end users to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLA)
• Assist in IT equipment setup, deployment, and basic configuration tasks

Requirements

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with at least 1 year of IT support experience will be an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage daily support tasks and meet SLA requirements.
• Exposure to desktop, hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Experience in lab or simulation-based troubleshooting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.
• Willing to support after-office-hours project activities when required.
