DevOps and Backend Development Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps and Backend Development Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. The role combines backend software engineering with DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevSecOps practices.

This role is particularly suited for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of software development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation while supporting advanced engineering and semiconductor software platforms in a multinational development environment.

You will work closely with software engineers, AI/ML teams, frontend developers, cybersecurity specialists, and infrastructure teams to build secure, reliable, and high-performance systems for engineering and semiconductor industry applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and enterprise applications using Java and Python frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.

• Build scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code with strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and data workflows using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, deployment, and release management.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for production environments.

• Apply DevSecOps and cybersecurity best practices across the software development lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.

• Work closely with development teams in China to support application development, deployment, and operational activities.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Support engineering software and semiconductor-related application development initiatives.

• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.

• Knowledge of backend development frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, software development lifecycle, and version control systems.

• Exposure to cloud platforms, containerization technologies, or CI/CD practices is advantageous.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work effectively with offshore development teams and stakeholders.

• Fresh graduates with strong academic performance, relevant internship experience, personal projects, or demonstrated technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering, DevOps engineering, or related roles.

• Experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in engineering software, industrial platforms, semiconductor manufacturing systems, EDA solutions, or semiconductor data analytics platforms.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and DevSecOps practices.

• Experience with AI/ML platform deployment or MLOps workflows.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures
