DevOps Engineer

Hands-on DevOps role supporting and scaling cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support senior DevOps team members in operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Monitor Kubernetes clusters to ensure performance, availability, and optimal resource utilisation.
• Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes resources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying potential issues.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform.
• Deploy and manage cloud solutions through CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support when required.
• Document processes, procedures, and configurations to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps engineering role, focusing on building, automating, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with cloud service providers such as AWS.
• Experience administering CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
• Practical experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (e.g. EKS).
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• DevOps-related professional certifications are an added advantage.
