Electrical and Hardware Manager

MANAGER/ SENIOR MANAGER - Electrical and Motion Control (Hardware/Technical/ Engineering/ Automation/ Control/Mechatronics/R&D)

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and provide people and technical leadership to the Electrical Design team to achieve project goals.

• Define and implement the technical direction for motion control systems and electrical hardware architecture in semiconductor equipment.
• Develop and guide motion control modeling, control algorithms, and system analysis for high-speed, high-precision applications.
• Oversee electrical schematic design, power electronics, motor drivers, and control board development to meet performance standards.
• Drive new product development through concept, design, prototyping, Alpha/Beta testing, and product release phases.
• Ensure all designs meet targets for performance, reliability, cost, and schedule.
• Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure quality and consistency.
• Review and approve critical technical designs and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Enhance team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Applications, and QA to integrate solutions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery industry.
• Expertise in motion control modeling and algorithms for ultra-high speed and high accuracy applications.
• Proficient in control system analysis and design, including servo motor and motion control systems.
• Strong knowledge of digital electronics and power electronics design, including power supplies and motor drivers.
• Familiarity with analytical and simulation tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, or equivalents.
• Understanding of electromagnetic technology for motor design.
